A music publisher with a personal history.
On our way to horizon we pass oceans, mountains and clouds to reach the sun. Without frontiers, guided by the force of music.
Skyway Music was founded in 2001 by songwriter, producer and DJ Timo Schattka. What began as a production studio evolved into an independent publisher that continues to manage a personally curated catalogue today.
The repertoire primarily includes works by Timo Schattka, as well as music by Karl-Heinz Büchel (artist name Charly McLion) and Dieter Kaspari. The focus is on long-term exploitation, transparent rights clearance and suitable uses – from releases to synchronisation.
The origin of the name
The name Skyway reaches back to Timo Schattka’s childhood and youth on Höhenweg — the street where he lived with his parents. Translated into English, that path became Skyway: a route beyond earthly boundaries, carried through the sky.
