Aachen blues since 1965
Blues, rock and the sound of home.
Dieter Kaspari has been performing as a singer, guitarist and harmonica player since 1965. A veteran of Aachen’s blues-rock scene, he spent twelve years as a professional musician in bands including Cave Dwellers and Credo, while TRUSS retains legendary status in the region.
A formative chapter was two and a half years on the road with Champion Jack Dupree and other American blues greats. With Charles & Morgan, Kaspari toured as support for Golden Earring, Greenslade, Earth and Fire and Livin’ Blues.
His solo catalogue includes “De Pau erav”, “Blues mich jet”, “Hongsdag” and “ChreßfesHandmade”. In 2014 he received the Thouet Mundartpreis of the City of Aachen. He is also a member of the Pech & Schwefel ensemble at Aachen’s Schängche puppet theatre.
Kaspari’s 2017 book “Heämet” brings together his own songs, writing and photography. The album “Dröimer” followed in 2018. Live, he combines original material with classics from blues and rock history, accompanied by Dutch guitarist Mark Beumers.
